What have I learned in the last fifteen years?
I’ve learned I know nothing. Nothing is owed to me and I know better what to do with myself than most people that are telling me what I should do.
Nothing is ever as it seems and what goes around comes around. Love can be fleeting, fury can be depleting.
I learned not to park my Scout in a creek bed during a rain storm. I learned how to steal butterfly bandages from a grocery store.
I learned to see order in chaos, to question every thing and trust no one. Especially whitey. I learned to watch out for black helicopters and to not talk “business” on a cell phone. I learned HST could very well be Christ. Careful before you blaspheme.
I hear you Odes but I’m not buying. I think you’re just a big poser. Probably working at some TV station programming America’s youth to masturbate to Paris Hilton segments and the little hottie weather/sports gal. If you were a real man you’d work some subliminal messages into those graphics. Make some babies cry. Like the one on your post.
So how are the wife and kid?
They're great! Sam is walking around and saying "Dada." What a trip. Christa is crazy, but really perfect in most ways for me. We'll probably have another little cabbage soon, and truthfully, I'm looking forward to another one. It's a sort of insanity to be this tired and want more. A weird hard-wired human tendency I guess.
